ECEN 306 Methods of Research
Third Year

[Focus] This course deals with research preparation methods, research tools, research proposals, and the implementation, presentation, and publication of research work.

[Output] A qualitative research study (Basic Research)

[Modality] The course is delivered through a combination of strategically designed face-to-face and online (synchronous and asynchronous) sessions with three (3) hours for lecture and zero (0) hours for laboratory.

Signals, Spectra, and Signal Processing
Third Year

Fourier Transform: Z-Transform; Convolution; FIR filter; IIR filters; random signal analysis; correlation functions; DFT; FFT; spectral analysis.

ECEN 305: Feedback and Control Systems
Third Year

This course is designed for students to have a firm foundation in feedback and control systems theory and its applications in electronics engineering problems. Emphasis is given to the analysis of time and frequency response of feedback control systems and the design of compensators.

The course will cover the topics of mathematical modeling of physical systems in both frequency and time domains, transient and steady-state response analyses of LTI systems, stability, controllers, and techniques of control theory, including root locus analysis and Bode and Nyquist plots.
