Second Year

This course provides an introduction to the concepts, theories and components that serve as the basis for the design of classical and modern operating systems. Topic include disk management, process and memory management, file management, deadlocks and system security and protection. This course discusses and simulates the basic functions of Operating System. Compilation of the activities of the different CPU scheduling and Memory Allocation are expected toward the end of the semester. The course is delivered through a combination of strategically designed face-to-face and online sessions.
