Nutrition Care Process
Second Semester AY 2024-2025

The course is an introductory study of the concepts and procedures of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP).

It provides the students with essential basic skills set in developing nutrition care plan with application across practice areas – clinical, community, and food service. Students will become acquainted with the NCP terminology, ADIME (Assessment--Diagnosis--Intervention--Monitoring and Evaluation) and SOAP (Subjective--Objective--Assessment--Plan) charting formats.

Activities include opportunities that cultivate critical thinking abilities, appropriate decision-making skills, and monitoring capabilities. The course also underscores the central role of a registered nutritionist-dietitian in bringing quality nutrition care and the potential benefits associated with the use of the NCP.
