This course introduces students to the foundational questions, frameworks, and debates in moral philosophy. It examines classical and contemporary ethical theories—including virtue ethics, deontology, utilitarianism, and care ethics—while engaging students in the critical analysis of moral dilemmas across personal, social, and global contexts. Through close reading, discussion, and reflective writing, students will explore the nature of moral reasoning, the role of values, and the ethical dimensions of everyday life. The course emphasizes clarity of thought, proportional argumentation, and the cultivation of ethical sensitivity.
