BSCPE 3-6 CMPE 364 WEB AND MOBILE SYSTEMS 2ND SEMESTER AY2526
BSCOE III-6

Introduction to Web & Mobile Systems

Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering - 3rd Year, 2nd Semester AY2526

Course Description

This course provides computer engineering students with a comprehensive introduction to the architectures, protocols, technologies, and design principles underlying modern web and mobile computing systems. Moving beyond pure application development, it emphasizes the engineering perspective—focusing on system integration, communication protocols, client-server architecture, performance, security considerations, and the hardware-software interface unique to mobile platforms. Students will learn to analyze requirements, design system components, and implement full-stack solutions for both web and mobile environments, with an emphasis on how these systems interact with network infrastructure and hardware.

Key Focus Areas

System Architecture

Understanding web & mobile system architectures, protocols, and client-server models.

Engineering Perspective

Focus on integration, performance, security, and hardware-software interface.

Full-Stack Development

Designing and implementing solutions for web & mobile environments.

What Students Will Learn

  • Analyze requirements for web and mobile systems
  • Design system components with engineering principles
  • Implement full-stack solutions for both platforms
  • Understand interaction with network infrastructure
  • Apply hardware-software interface concepts to mobile platforms
