This course provides students with more meaningful and productive learning experiences based on the New K to 12 curriculum for Technology and Livelihood Education (TLE) prescribed by the Department of Education (DepEd), Commission on Higher Education (CHED) and Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA).
Emphasis is given to enhance the knowledge, skills and attitudes of students in accordance with industry standards. It is an exploratory and introductory course on Dressmaking and/or Tailoring which covers some of the basic, common and core competencies in sewing.
This course also trains students with the actual and basic practical application of the principles and processes involved in Sewing industries. There will be expected learning outcomes about occupational health and safety (OHS), sewing tools and equipment, fabric quality, parts of sewing machine, taking body measurements, drafting patterns as well as different kinds of stitches.
