This course is the first half of two undergraduate thesis courses leading to the computer science thesis. In this course, the student is expected to define a thesis topic, conduct an appropriate literature review, and conceptualize and develop a solution to the research problem taking note of the underlying methods to be used. The student then writes a thesis proposal and presents it before a selected group of panelists.
