GEED 008_Ethics_SY 24-25_2nd Sem_ABF 1-1
BAF 1-1

This 19-week course discusses the meta-philosophical definition of ethics, its normative theories, and its applications. Morality and the pursuit of happiness are inalienable facets of human personhood; hence, this course scrutinizes the assumptions of the three leading ethical theories: Consequentialism, Deontology, and Virtue Ethics. These frameworks can guide learners in remedying conflicts in the personal and interpersonal domains such as the family, nation, global community, and the environment. Discussions and activities for this course will be made in a face-to-face and online setting both synchronous and asynchronous. At the end of the course, learners will apply their knowledge to specific issues through an essay, reflection paper, or a group position paper
