BAELS 4-1

This five-unit course prepares students for the rigors of instructional materials development and evaluation. It enables them to understand the intricacies of developing high-standard materials in terms of quality, form, and substance. Through this, they will be able to develop knowledge of the theoretical and practical approaches to materials evaluation and development, utilize strategies, and apply knowledge of materials development as a means for diversification and innovation in language learning and in their own growth. The course also emphasizes demonstrating an understanding of the appropriateness of materials for specific target groups.
